Our passion goes beyond just providing entertainment and news. We take great pride in our community and are committed to making them better places to live for everyone.
We do this by partnering with area nonprofit organizations, and with your generous contributions, help raise funds and provide food, clothing, shelter and medical care for those who need help.
One such partnership is with the Merle West Medical Center (MWMC) in Klamath Falls, Oregon.
On the third Tuesday of each month, our flagship station, KLAD, hosts the "Mammogram Fund Luncheon" at the Riverview Mongolian Grill. A portion of the proceeds from the meals served between our 11AM-2PM luncheon is matched by several area sponsors and then donated to the MWMC fund to provide no cost mammograms to women who otherwise could not afford one. Since it’s inception in the fall of 1999, we’ve been able to provide over 500 mammograms.We just don’t work in the community...we call it home.
