Glen "Glenner" Anderson has been working in radio for more that 25 years, with the past 20 here, first with Borealis Broadcasting and now with New Northwest Broadcasters.
He started his career in radio in sales after a stint with KSUA, a college radio station. Glenner became WOLF 98's first morning jock when it came on-air in 1987. He, along with partner Jerry Evans, was nominated for the national Marconi award, for radio personalities of the year, in 1997.
After New Northwest Broadcasters took over the stations, Glenner moved to mornings on KOOL FM (oldies) as well as taking over as the Operations Manager. In 2001, Glenner also returned to his roots, taking over as the morning host of "95 dot 9 KXLR", classic rock. In addition to his OM duties, Glenner also does news on KFAR (news/talk) and college basketball play-by-play on KCBF 820 (sports). On top of that, he also acts as a fill-in engineer (where he's the first to admit that he has no idea what he's doing!)
Glenner has enjoyed a successful career as a stand up comedian, opening for such acts as George Carlin, Weird Al, Huey Lewis, Paully Shore and many others. He has been invited to perform at the Hollywood Comedy Festival and has worked the stage at the world famous Improv.
Outside of work, Glenner has been married 15 years to his lovely wife Maria and they have two children; son Mason (13) and daughter Ryan (9). They enjoy camping, skiing, hiking, fishing, golf and playing tennis as a familiy. Get this, Glenner also teaches "Ultimate Frisbee" at the University of Alaska (yep, Professor Anderson).
