Kelly Gasseling began her career with NNB In August, 2004. While this was her first radio job, Kelly was no stranger to the sales game, having sold newspaper in Tacoma, WA for four years. Kelly has served as our local sales manager since January 2006 and has enjoyed tremendous success. But her management status with NNB is not the only story here. Kelly carries an account list- a BIG account list! During this past year and a half, Kelly has thrived in the sales arena. Because of her ability to truly win people over, it has also been an education for us here at the Yakima cluster. We are proud of the job she has done in developing business, both new and existing, and watching her build relationships that in turn have created opportunities within our cluster of stations. Kelly also possesses unbelievable organizational skills, which is paramount in our business if we desire consistent success. Suffice it to say, Kelly has done a marvelous job in achieving, and surpassing her goals. While Kelly is very competitive, she’s even more motivated by… money! In her nearly three year tenure at New Northwest Broadcasters, Kelly has earned more money than she had in the previous 4 years with the newspaper. When NNB’s President’s Club was introduced to her in January, 2005, she saw this as motivation to earn even more money for doing the one thing she was hired to do; her job! For Kelly, it’s simply a matter of priority. Get to the budget number faster, make more money in the process, and minimize the anxiety of hitting the numbers. She’s accomplished this through stronger “needs analysis” scenarios with her prospects, better results-based presentations, and has capitalized on the virtues of consistent vs. short term advertising. Because of this way of selling, Kelly now has more time to up-sell her existing customers, and prospect more new business. WHAT PEOPLE HAVE TO SAY
