LONNIE BELL
On-Air Personality - Billings, Montana

We are pleased to recognize Lonnie Bell as our NNB Employee Spotlight.

Lonnie Bell came to Montana 42 years ago to fill in for one weekend and the rest they say, is history. Lonnie is a legend in the broadcasting field, introducing country and western listeners to groups like Alabama and singing sensation, Loretta Lynn.

"I discovered Loretta in the state of Washington and was the emcee for Alabama’s first ever concert," notes Bell, who was recently inducted into the Country Music DJ Hall Of Fame in Nashville, TN. He is one of only 70 members in this elite group.

Mr. Bell will also be inducted into the Montana Broadcasters Hall of Fame in June. "Working for NNB radio keeps me young," says Bell who is also considered one of the top radio sales people in the state. "I don't have time to slow down, this is too much fun."

Here are a couple of pictures (1, 2) of Lonnie at the Country Music DJ Hall of Fame, courtesy of The Country Radio Broadcasters, Inc., as well as a short audio message from Lonnie (.wma file).

Lonnie Bell is another one of the tremendous people that make NNB a great place to work. From all of us at NNB, "Thanks Lonnie" and Congratulations!
