This format features a slightly younger target audience than AC. A hybrid between Pop and AC, Hot AC has a more upbeat and cutting edge playlist, with a concentration on current hits and music of the past 12 months. Modern AC This format also has a slightly younger target audience than the AC format. Modern AC is a combination of Hot AC and Modern Rock, while concentrating on music of today and the last 12 months. Soft AC Also called "Easy Listening", Soft AC caters towards listeners 35 years and older. The playlist is composed of a mix heavy in love ballads, and less upbeat music from the last four decades. Hot AC and Modern AC formats cater to a younger audience than regular AC stations. Soft AC caters to listeners over 35 years old.
